A great blessing about God's Word is that it gives the promises that HE (God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost) is our PEACE, our Strength, our JOY. We are promised that the peace of God, which is beyond human understanding, will rule in our hearts if we will leave all our cares with God, with thanksgiving.
His timing is perfect. Nothing surprises our God. All things that He brings into our life is for our good. We can cry unto Him anytime and He hears us. For these things I am reminded and am thankful, once again.
Please pray especially for Mom at this time, if you would. And please pray for us, for strength and for wisdom. Thank you.
Darling Hill is a quiet place with a narrow, welcoming lane. The view from the top is breathtaking and its vistas change many times throughout a day. I hope that you can visit often and enjoy it as much as my dear Husband, family and I do. God has allowed Syd and I to sojourn here until He leads us on to another place of service or until He takes us Home to Heaven. The little cabin He has provided sits alongside Darling Hill Road, nestled in, on a northwest corner.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” Psalm 103:1,2
It is hard to believe that I've not posted on this blog in so many days. So much has happened in the past weeks. As the Psalm above says, "all that is within me..." and it is so hard to put into words all the things He's blessed us with in these weeks, certainly it's hard to declare ALL that is within my thankful heart! It's something I have been doing, but not "blogging about". This morning, being that our church services were called off due to icing throughout the state, the sermons Syd and I have listened to together, sharing blessings with one another and with fellow church members via phone...it makes me want to publicly "bless the Lord" for all His benefits! We miss all of our church family when we are not together. There's almost nothing I hate more than to have to stay home from church when the services are going on, but I'll admit, it's easier to "miss church" if there IS no church. God's Word has touched our hearts and taught us this morning though, and now Syd is out clearing all his driveways and the one road that he plows, as temperatures are going down into the teens and single digits for the entire week to come, the forecasters say.
We had a blessed holiday time with our family. These are the pictures at Syd's Aunt's house on Christmas day.

Making candy: We have the recipe, if you request it. For our neighbors we are making Apple Taffy and Moxie Chews. We're getting New Year's baskets together. Here we are, wrapping. Syd wore his Moxie orange sweatshirt for the occasion.

This is just a portion; Each recipe makes over 200 candies! |
One big blessing, on New Years Day we went to see "the girls", the twin grand nieces. Oh yes, and we saw Dustin and Bethany too! As soon as I can figure out how to get my photos and videos OUT of my new tablet, I may post some of them! Sorry!
One other big blessing...Little grand nephew, Jason Owen, was born on New Years day!
8 lbs 9 ozs and 21 inches long. We are praying for you, Willow and Jason!
We wish you all a very Happy 2015!
Those of you who know the Lord Jesus; we pray that God will lead you into growth and further service for Him daily. For the readers who have not come to the Lord Jesus Christ yet, we pray that soon you'll see and believe the Bible; believing on the love God has for you in sending His Son, the perfect, spotless Lamb of God, who came to the earth and "became sin" for you. He died and shed His blood, the perfect sacrifice for sin, so that those who will believe will "be made the righteousness of God, in Him".
“For He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”
2 Corinthians 5:21
