The apple to the left is one of the wild ones. I just set the store-bought one there to show the size. |
Here are nine of the ten "R children"...they left one at church. Can you believe you could forget a kid at church? Kidding...he stayed to help with throwing wood the into church basement. See? They even left a place for him so we can 'photo shop' him in!
It's rare to get a picture of Josh and Nikki alone. I took the opportunity to snap this shot.
It was a perfect Autumn afternoon. The Bible teaching, sun, fall leaves, warm weather and good friends all made for a good end of a blessed Lord's day! Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a good Autumn week.
What a perfect fall day! I love the pictures and it is so nice to see one of just Josh and Nikki too. Apples are so wonderful! We have a wild apple tree and it, too, has some very good apples that get almost as big as store bought. They make great applesauce if I can get them before they fall to the ground where they are almost instantly chewed on by chipmunks, squirrels, yellow jackets and a chocolate Lab. This weekend I made an apple salad and a large pan of apple crisp for the potluck at church. Mm-mmm!
ReplyDeleteSeveral years ago we found some wild Concord grapes (as mentioned at left) and picked enough to make a grape pie. Was that ever good!
Nice to see you posting and I'm glad your mom is better!
It was getting dark by the time we finished, maybe next week!
ReplyDeleteSilas was a good helper :)!!! Can't wait to see the photoshopped picture :). Great pics of the R family!
Hope you are having a great week. Any plans for the big 55 tomorrow :). Happy Birthday to Uncle Sunshine from all of us :).
